Terms of service

Last updated: September 2026

Draft. PractiSign is in development. These terms will be updated before launch to reflect final service arrangements.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using PractiSign, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you are using PractiSign on behalf of an accounting practice or other organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. The service

PractiSign provides an electronic signature platform designed for UK accounting practices. The service allows you to create document packs, send them to recipients for signing, track progress and generate evidence records.

PractiSign provides simple electronic signatures. We do not claim to provide advanced (AES) or qualified (QES) electronic signatures unless explicitly stated for a specific workflow. It is your responsibility to determine whether an electronic signature is appropriate for a given document.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Practice administrators are responsible for managing staff access and permissions within their practice account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PractiSign to:

  • Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful or fraudulent.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the service in a manner that violates applicable law or regulation.
  • Send unsolicited communications to recipients through the platform.

5. Intellectual property

PractiSign and its original content, features and functionality are owned by [Company Name] and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all documents you upload to PractiSign. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process and transmit that content as necessary to provide the service.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PractiSign and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these terms, with notice where practicable.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for a reasonable period to allow you to export it, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of PractiSign shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes by email or through the service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
